Checklist
Checklist for conducting DSE (Display Screen Equipment) and ergonomics assessments:

1. Preparation
- Know your regulations and guidelines.
- Gather all necessary equipment and documents.

2. Evaluate the workstation
- Is the screen positioned at eye level?
- Is there sufficient space for all necessary equipment and materials?
- Is the chair adjusted properly to support posture?

3. Check the computer setup
- Is the keyboard and mouse within easy reach and without causing strain?
- Is the monitor brightness and contrast suitable for the user?

4. Consider lighting and glare
- Is the workstation well-lit without causing glare on the screen?
- Can the user control light levels if necessary?

5. Assess breaks and changes of activity
- Does the user take regular breaks from screen work?
- Are there opportunities for changes in activity during the working day?

6. Evaluate potential risks
- Are there any health risks associated with the workstation setup?
- Are there steps in place to mitigate these risks?

7. User input
- Have you consulted with the user about their comfort and any issues they might be facing?

8. Report and follow-up
- Document the findings of the assessment
- Discuss the results with the user and agree upon any necessary changes.
- Schedule a follow-up assessment to ensure changes have been implemented and are effective.
