DEI strategy event
Our DEI strategy was formally launched to the wider business in October 2024 through a series of events across the globe that celebrated diversity, equity and inclusion. All colleagues were invited to immerse themselves in keynote speeches, leadership commitments, awareness workshops and activities that supported curiosity and alternate thinking.
- During the event, we heard from our exec team who shared personal accounts of why DEI was important to them
- We held a leadership sponsor election campaign, involving all colleagues in the voting process
- We learned about cultural intelligence and barriers facing those from different backgrounds and disabilities through keynote sessions and workshops
- We explored different perspectives and learned more about each other through interacting in activities together
- We showcased our newly formed employee resource groups through a podcast series
- We celebrated our commitment as a business to DEI through food, entertainment and culture, capturing the event and our commitment to DEI as a wall mural, now on display in HQ.
As a part of our DEI strategy, by FY27, we have a large number of DEI related goals that include the following:
Colleagues being female including senior leadership
Colleagues from ethnic minorities within their communities across all regions
Of colleagues from SEND background
A suite of DEI friendly benefits and recognition
Two leadership sponsors have been appointed and we have a DEI Manager role to drive the agenda as part of a newly formed steering group.
As a business, we have pledged our commitment to 1% of colleagues from special educational needs and disability (SEND) background, and to support this agenda we have registered as Disability Confident committed.
We are currently at Level 2 of the Disability Confident Employer Scheme, and Armed Forces Covenant signatory, strengthening our support for veterans and people with disabilities.
